Prof. Fei Wang from Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Connecticut is looking for motivated students who are interested in pursuing Ph.D. degrees in the field of data mining, machine learning and their applications in social and health informatics. Prof. Wang is a well-known researcher in data mining, he has published nearly 150 papers in the top venue, including 11 KDD papers, 17 SDM papers and 11 ICDM papers. UConn is regarded as the best public university in New England area and Prof. Wang has broad collaborations with top universities including Stanford, Columbia, Georgia Tech, UNC, USC, etc. He also has close relationship with industries like IBM, Facebook, Google. Therefore there are tremendous opportunities for students on collaborating with the researchers/professors in top universities and doing internship with famous industry as well.
